OPEN CALL FOR
COLLABORATIVE ART

Mobilizing the Arts to help the Spa, Salon and Wellness Industry Unite and Communicate
The Healing Power of Touch

"Art is a powerful means of communication.

Our industry needs your help in translating
The Healing Power of Touch into work that uplifts people across different cultures, language, communities and platforms."

In response to COVID-19, The Art in Wellness Collaborative was born to unite the spa and wellness industry around common messaging and to promote the evidence-informed mental wellness and well-being of spa, beauty and wellness.

In challenging times, society has always turned to the arts. According the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine, “the arts are one of the most powerful means for communication and coping that we have at our disposal today.” Art can assist in making messages more personal, memorable, relevant culturally, and emotionally engaging.

Art can enhance well-being and connection. By providing direct benefits of spa and wellness services, collectively we can unite around a shared vision and values of support, joy, empathy, hope and resilience.

Promote the Healing Power of Touch
We are currently looking for art and symbols to help promote the aspects of the healing power of touch during this stressful time. Show us your artistic vision so we can effectively communicate the benefits of touch to the general public. This art work will be distributed globally, both online and in physical locations. The artwork will also be made available as free downloads to share.
In a world where people think and see in pictures, strong visuals are often the primary mode of communication... Think “Rosie the Riveter,” the iconic image from WWII, or “Make Love, Not War” created in the 1960s, a time of great social change. Art can also help individual practitioners and smaller operations be part of a larger message for us all to stay strong and united.

Please join us during this moment in time to unite the industry of spa and wellness, and to communicate to the public the benefits of touch.

"Judging panel and open voting will select 4 pieces of work. Each selected artist will receive $1,000 for their submission"

Creative Brief, Artist Agreement and Release Form

Before submitting artwork, please review the creative brief, the artist agreement and the release form.  By submitting artwork you agree to the terms of the release form, and to the terms of the artist agreement should your artwork be selected for award.  Artists selected for award will be required to sign agreements, release forms and interview with select members of the judging panel prior to award approval.

DEADLINE: May 20, 2020

Please submit your artwork via the button below.  For any questions or issues during submission please email us at info(at)artinwellness.com.
